The Golden Thread of Friendship

As we grow older we realize again the importance of friends. People come into our lives by birth, by marriage, through work, through happenstance or by design of an Unseen Hand. Sometimes we feel an immediate bond, some friendships grow slowly over time or an incident, good or tragic forges the friendship. People leave our lives by death, by moving away or through drifting apart. Still the golden thread of friendship is there in the memory of shared experiences. The golden thread of friendship is love.
